SPOT is happy to announce 13 new acts and five additional venues for the international mini festival InterSPOT. The venues are Studenterhuset, Musikcaféen, Fatter Eskil, Vestergade 58, and the ship MS Stubnitz.

At Studenterhuset, the atmosphere will be “Joyful”, and here the Austrian five-piece band Bauchklang is to play. The quintet creates danceable electro with their voices as the only instruments. In addition to that there will be minimalist keyboard pop from German It’s a Musical and two-step from Swiss Mama Rosin, whose songs are in English and in French.

At Fatter Eskil the music has been given the label “intense”, and the Greek indie band Film will go on stage here. Furthermore, Belgium will be represented by two bands – noise rock outfit Madensuyu and Dez Mona with their dark indie.

The old, illustrious venue Vestergade 58 is going to set the stage for five American songwriters from Austin, Texas and the venue has been nicknamed “The Austin Five”. There will be pop and folk from Matt the Electrician, folk-rock from Danny Malone, indie rock from Troy Campbell, experimental orchestral pop/rock from Nathan Felix, and blues, rock and country folk from Scrappy Jud Newcomb.

MS Stubnitz has come alongside the quay in Aarhus to be a part of SPOT too, and the atmosphere at this venue will be “electric”. German/Israeli band Glitterburg will go on stage with their experimental cocktail of electronica and techno. Then DJ Bootsie Quartet will play hip hop and trance, while Austrian Fiago will present their own genre- “risco”, which is a fusion of rock and disco.

Finally this time around there will be “quirky” music at Musikcaféen. Bachelorette from New Zeeland will showcase their psychedelic pop and furthermore, the audience will be in for German Klein’s electronica with hip hop elements as well as electronic indie with touches of house from Arms & Sleepers.

The previously announced acts Sophie Hunger, Montgomery and Gablé are playing at Train. Read the first InterSPOT press release here.
