The 26th of November Fagget Fairys, Lucy Love, I Got You On Tape and Prins Nitram are playing the ”SPOT On Denmark” –showcase in Brussels.
For the 3rd year in a row, the Danish showcase, looks like it is going to be, sold out! The interest from the Belgium and international press, is significant.

Interest for Danish music in Belgium, has the last couple of years, been in considerable growth. Due to interviews and reviews of the bands, and articles about the event there has been secured extra gigs, for the bands before and after the showcase itself, which also seems to be sold out.

It is a Belgium committee of press executives and industry representatives, who all attended the Spot Festival in Denmark in May this year, which has chosen the bands, who are to be featured at the upcoming showcase: Fagget Fairys, Lucy Love, I Got You On Tape and Prins Nitram.

Former years successful showcases, has paved the way for such bands as, Murder and Slaraffenland, who’s names are solidly founded in the consciousness, of the Belgium music enthusiasts. Likewise Band Ane and One Eyed Mule, have harvested record and booking contracts, due to former showcases.

Positive Interest
When it comes to this years acts, both Fagget Fairys and I Got You On Tape, have been featured in the Belgium music press, and Fagget Fairys are currently being played on FM Brussels, and their hit “Feed The Horse” has had airplay on the Flemish Stu Bru radio.
Fagget Fairys have already secured themselves, contracts in Belgium, I Got You On Tape, Lucy Love and Prins Nitram, see that there is great interest in the Danish bands, and hope that this showcase will bring them equal contracts.

Great industry-interest
The overflowing optimism is not unfounded: during the last three years, there has been established a lasting bond, between the Danish and Belgium music industry, due to the two former successful showcases. So the SPOT On Denmark-organizers ROSA, MXD and SPOT Festival, have had no problems inviting, Belgium industry representatives to the networking-dinners, which take place before the showcases.

We have a wide spectre of industry representatives, which attend our showcase, from Live Nation to Quiet Concerts, Belgium record companies, and distributors – who set the tone in a European context –like PIAS/Play It Again Sam and News, besides European agencies, such as the German C/O Pop, the Dutch Friendly Fire and the French, Summery Agency.
