Danish dance rock trio Turboweekend
The very last bands for this year’s line-up have now been revealed: One fairly experienced, one well on their way.

Electro-pop trio Turboweekend (DK, see picture) has released two albums so far, of which especially last year’s ”Ghost of a Chance” received positive reviews for its “finely nuanced dance rock”. With their sharp and catchy beats, Turboweekend are an intense live act, and they should arrive at SPOT in excellent shape after a period of touring in Denmark, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.

The upcoming Undarlegur (DK) were formed in 2008 and quickly moved on to win the spring 2009 youth school-festival “IMPRINT”. The name Undarlegur means ”strange” in Icelandic, and the young members of Undarlegur describe their music as experimental, psychedelic and mystical. Besides guitar, drums and synthesizers, their instruments include glockenspiel and a cardboard box with rubber bands.

The two latest additions bring the line-up to a total of 131 musical experiences during the two days of SPOT Festival on May 21-22. While the actual SPOT programme is thus fully announced, a few names are yet to be revealed for the international mini festival InterSPOT on May 20.
