With more than twenty international acts, the brand new mini festival InterSPOT is a unique event embedded in the predominantly Nordic SPOT Festival. Bands from many corners of the world will visit InterSPOT – which also means a wider span of media attention on the Danish festival.

Since the announcement that Athens-based indie band Film will be playing at InterSPOT on May 20, several Greek media institutions have brought the story. Among them are Greek MTV and the daily newspaper Ta Nea.

Ta Nea writes: ”Following the release of their third album ”Persona”, Film has been invited to play at the international part of the SPOT Festival in Aarhus, which makes a special effort to profile upcoming bands. Each year SPOT is visited by important delegates from the music industry (record labels, agents, etc.), but also by journalists from the most important international music magazines.”

Finally, this year’s SPOT Festival will be covered by freelance journalist Vasilis Panagiotopoulos, who has been hired to write a major reportage for the Greek music magazine Sonik.

The Greek press coverage is yet another proof that it pays to include international acts in the SPOT programme, as it leads to both media attention and visiting representatives.
