The Finnish trio Kaspar consists of the two singer-songwriters John McGregor and Mikael Hakkarainen and the drummer Tuomas Hakkarainen. Both of the singers have two solo albums under their belts and as a band they have finished their eponymous debut album together with Malcolm Burn. The band was named after the enigmatic German Kasper Hauser, who turned up in Nurnberg in a terrible condition with no past and a steadfast ambition to serve the king.
