With traditional Kurdish music as their point of departure the Kurds of Li Dïnê have attempted to create a new sound, where Kurdish scales and rhythms are mixed with r&b, rap, pop, house and rock. The lyrics are in Kurdish, Danish and English. Tradition meets innovation, and Kurdistan clashes with Europe and the US. The band promises a cornucopia of special guests on stage at their SPOT gig, which is to be considered a must-see at SPOT 2010.
